Raymond F. Lockhart, 77, of Peoria Heights, IL passed away on March 28, 2026, in Peoria, IL. Raymond was born on December 19, 1948, in Peoria, IL to Marion (M.C.) Lockhart and Mary Frances Thompson. He married Anne Keller on June 5, 1971, in Barry, IL.
Raymond devoted his career to caring for others, serving as a registered nurse at Proctor Hospital and retiring in 2010 as the Emergency Room Nurse Manager. He was always ready to help those in need, offering comfort, guidance, or simply a steady presence during difficult moments. Ray brought joy and laughter into any room, lifting the spirits of family, friends, and co‑workers alike. He used his sharp wit and sarcasm to spark smiles, ease tension, and remind people not to take life too seriously. A true humanitarian, he touched countless lives with his kindness, generosity, and unwavering compassion.
He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.
Surviving is his spouse, Anne Lockhart; children, Jennifer Grant (Andy) and Eric Lockhart; brother, Brian Thornton (Diana); sister, Ruth Moore (Dennis); three grandchildren, Ashley Hawkins (Todd), Brayten Hess, and Taylor Thomas (Hank); two great-grandchildren, Ellorie and Houston; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Aaron, and nephew Matthew Maloof.
Arrangements and cremation rites have been entrusted to Wilton Mortuary.
