Dan D'Amico

Dan D'Amico passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on March 30, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship, service, and deep devotion to those he loved most.

Dan was a man who truly never met a stranger. Known for his infectious smile, he always had a quick joke to share and could always be counted on to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He proudly served his country as a reservist in the U.S. Army Special Forces (Airborne). The discipline, courage, and grit of his time as a Green Beret stayed with him throughout his life. A gifted craftsman and accomplished home builder, he took immense pride in working with his hands. Whether constructing houses from the ground up or honing his skills in woodworking and knifemaking, he poured creativity and ingenuity into everything he built. When he wasn't spending time in his garage workshop, he could often be found out on the open road, enjoying the ride on his cherished Triumph motorcycle.

In 2013, Dan retired to California to be near his children. Above all his accomplishments, his heart belonged to his family. He was the devoted husband and lifelong partner to his wife, Terrie (Faulkner-Anderson) D’Amico. He was a proud, loving father to his son, Adam D'Amico, and his daughter, Amber (D'Amico) Stein, and her husband, Michael. One of his greatest joys was his role as "Papa", treasuring every moment spent with his three grandsons, Nicholas, Riley, and Asher Stein.

He is survived by his brother, Jim D’Amico, his wife, Vickie, and their children; his niece and partner-in-crime, Ashleigh (Anderson) Miller; nephew Jason Faulkner, as well as many cousins, extended family, dear friends; and his beloved pups, Scamp and Lilly—affectionately known to everyone as "The Kids.”

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Ruth D'Amico, and his younger brother, David D’Amico.

At Dan's request, no formal services were held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
