Carlo Michael Traficano
November 4, 1925 - February 18, 1995
Carlo Michael Traficano, 69, of Mesa, Arizona, a retired educational counselor with the Department of Defense at Williams Air Force Base, died February 18, 1995, from pancreatic cancer. He was a World War II Navy veteran.
Carlo was born in Chicago on November 04, 1925, to Jake and Lucy Traficano. He had two brothers, Bernard and Sam (Sammy). Carlo married Adele Anne and had four sons and two daughters: John; Michael Joseph; Joseph Carlo, Thomas, Carla Anne Smith; and Anne Michelle Brandenburger.
Carlo was a teacher, coach, and administrator. Carlo's wife, Adele, was also a teacher at Richwoods High School in Peoria, Illinois.
"Carlo was a coach and it was at Richwoods where we met and married. I taught physical education there as well. Quit to have babies and moved away from Peoria to Chicago area in 1964. Carlo retired from Illinois education in the '80's and interviewed for a job here in Arizona at Williams Air Force Base. He had been working at Chanute AFB in Rantoul, Illinois so it was an easy transition. He started here in January of 1986 and I came out with the rest of the family in June when they got out of school." - Adele Traficano
